CARING FOR YOUR OSSIEM PIECE

Your OSSIEM piece has been handcrafted using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, meaning each piece is truly one of a kind. With a little care, it will stay beautiful for years to come. Pieces are created using sterling silver and 18ct gold-plated bronze.

To keep both 18ct gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery in the best possible condition, it's recommended to avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions and cosmetics.

To ensure longevity, always remove jewellery before sleeping, showering and exercising.

Wipe your jewellery clean with a soft cloth before storing in a cool, dry place, ideally in the box provided.

SILVER

Silver will naturally develop a patina over time. It can be cleaned with warm, soapy water or a silver polishing cloth to restore its shine.

GOLD

All gold plating will eventually wear over time. The speed at which this happens depends on how you care for your piece, frequency of wear and even your body chemistry.

Higher friction areas will wear down more quickly; this is not a fault in the product. Take care if you regularly wear rings next to each other as the friction can cause plating to rub off more quickly.

Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth made for gold-plated items. Avoid abrasive cloths or cleaning products which can wear the plating.

I can offer a re-plating service for your OSSIEM pieces at a low fee. For all enquiries, please contact info@ossiem.com

LEATHER CORD

Leather and water aren’t friends. Remove before swimming, showering, or exercising. The natural quality of the leather means it will soften and develop character with wear. Store flat or hanging to keep its shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight which can alter the colour over time.

Occasionally conditioning leather cord with a small amount of neutral leather balm will keep it supple and help it last longer. Test on a small area first, particularly on lighter coloured cords.
