OSSIEM began with a feeling: a desire for jewellery that is beautiful and refined, yet carries a sense of ease.

Since becoming a mother, I now spend my time very differently. My days are shared between trips to the park, making jewellery and all the small routines in between. My wardrobe, once shaped by fifteen years of working in fashion, has softened to match. I still want to feel considered, but without ever feeling overdone.

Jewellery became the way I strike that balance. Against a more relaxed wardrobe, the right piece lifts everything around it. Drawing on my years in fashion and an instinct for restraint, I create quietly confident pieces with an organic, imperfect beauty.

Each piece begins life in my East Sussex studio as a hand-sculpted wax model or an organic object, before being cast into recycled metals using the ancient method of lost-wax casting. I make every collection in small, considered batches, and I welcome the subtle variations and maker’s marks that come with working by hand.
